CRICKET


Cricket's owner passed away and he needed a secure forever home. He suffers from chronic respiratory problems and was rescued with very bad teeth for such a young dog. He is shy and loveable, and has settled in nicely.

RAZZY

Razzy is a terrier mix. Razzy is blind. His owner tried to offer him to the pound but since they refused she was planning on a death sentence for him. He is slightly aggressive from probable previous abuse and he cannot be around people except Linda. He loves to play outdoors despite his sight problems and likes to cuddle in soft blankets.

WINKY

Winky is a Pomeranian mix we believe .He was seized with 30 other dogs from a hoarder in the city during the winter months and was found chained outdoors with a short chain. Winky was deemed un adoptable due to his handicap and offered to The Flower Dogs Sanctuary. Winky is a young boy but has permanent neurological damage to his spine due to being chained. His legs do not support him any longer and he cannot walk. He is absolutely a love and seldom makes a sound. Winky loves to spend time on the couch.

PIXIE


Pixie is a miniature Eskimo/ mix found in a dumpster with his brother Max by Save the Sato's in Puerto Rico. Pixie recently needed a costly life saving procedure due to a hernia wrapped around his colon. He is the leader of the pack and can jump any fence.

MAX

Max is a miniature Eskimo/mix found inside a dumpster with his brother Pixie, by Save the Sato's in Puerto Rico . Max is the quiet one of the bunch and loves to ride in the car.

LOLLIPOP

Lollipop is a small terrier mix. Lollipop's mother was rescued pregnant and as a stray. When the mother gave birth FDS kept her till she recently passed on. Lollipop was the runt and never ended up being placed so she has a forever home and is one of the lively younger ones. She was named Lollipop because she licks your face constantly.

PEPPY

Peppy's 91 year owner,  now deceased had one wish was when he went into long term care ...that Peppy be allowed to live out his years as an older dog in a good place. Peppy bites occasionally probable due to his pure bred breed. He requires grooming and walks with a cute little waddle.

THUMBELINA

A Katrina Chihuahua dog who is elderly and has no teeth. All her teeth had to be removed due to neglect. Thumbelina was 2.5 pounds upon arrival and had parasites, She now weighs 4.5 pounds is parasite free. She requires a special regime of feeding with a combination of baby food, baby cereal ground chicken all blended together. She bends her head on your shoulder and captures the hearts of everyone she meets especially the children she participates in pet therapy with.

OLIVER


A male rat terrier/ Chihuahua mix. His former family brought him to a local cat shelter who contacted FDS with concerns about witnessing the rough handling of Oliver, who they surrendered. Oliver is very cautious with people and will snap when he is frightened. He likes to snuggle and loves his treats. Oliver was underweight upon his arrival and has gained weight and confidence. he currently suffers from a serious heart condition.

GUMBY

Gumby is a Chihuahua mixed with who knows what. He is adorable and has a habit of sprinkling you when he gets excited! His mother was found abandoned in a apartment pregnant and the difficult birth ended with a costly emergency c-section/ spay but 4 little pups were saved. Gumby is a favorite pet therapy dog with the children.
